So. Ammond probably doesn't get the full strength of the Disquiet - that seems like the kind of thing that a Geist would shield a person from to some extent - but she's still close enough to being A Mortal Human that she's not totally immune.
She just... pretends she is. She's intrigued by Jay - he does funky things to her various newfound death-related senses in ways that have nothing to do with the Disquiet. And also "fundamentally wrong" doesn't quite have entirely the same impact when you're only alive because you're partially possessed by the anthropomorphic personification of fatal vehicular collisions, yourself.
