I was always seeing it to be both things.
I am my past.
I am my future.
I am every alternate form of me.
I am every altering time.
And I am neither.
Ever my own mother fuckin self.
Both.
Especially now that I am, in some senses being, a we.
I think the true differentiation of self is what relations are formed.
What ways they're kept.
Family makes us who we are, one means or another.
Which is why, I suppose, we shall never truly gain what was had.
But you are as close as I can get.
I miss that.
And it is stiffling, sometimes, to never be this part of me.
It seems easier to be that around you.
