Its late enough at night that Waspfire has to admit, it almost makes her nostalgic. At least for a bit, until she feels Lin tug at her elbow.
“C’mon.” The troll gives a nod, having no qualms about following after her partner. The two giggling as they run under the full moon through the Meadous.
With the summer heat settled over the Meadous, going to the beach at night offers no problem. The walk is a quick one, the two women trying to stifle their conversation to avoid rousing their neighbors on their trek.
When they do make it to beach, Waspfire lays out a blanket and some of Lin’s food in a picnic basket. Lin doesn’t hesitate to drop the shawl and cover ups she wore (out of some old habit from a past life it seemed) onto the towel and prance off. Waspfire nearly chokes at the sight of her. The pink fabric of her bikini fits, fits very well. The rose pattern is cute, as is the touch of a frilly darker pink fringe. It’s… so Lin.
Lin walks over to the waters edge, peering down at it. When she crouches, Waspfire has no shame in staring.
They’ve been together long enough that she’s more than happy to look. As is she happy to walk over and join her matespirit. The two crouch comfortable under the moonlight.
“The water is even prettier at this time of night.” Lin mummers softly, gazing fondly at the reflecting of the moon glittering the waves. She dipped her finger in, swirling the digit in the placid waters.
“Is it cold?”
“Not really.” Lin sounds surprised, glancing back at her girlfriend with a grin. The grin turns quickly devious as she grabs Waspfire and shoves her into the water.
All the troll can do is splutter in shock, flailing before Lin joins her. They roll out into the sea together, tussling between kisses and laughter. Waspfire splashes at Lin, grinning toothily at the ogre. Lin has no qualms about returning the splash, the two soaking one another quickly as their splash war escalates for a few minutes.
When they tire out, Lin flops back into the shallow water, floating lazily. The troll gladly drifts over to join her, planning on riling the ogre for a bit more play.
Even with her great strength, Lin’s hands are gentle. The ogre changeling lets her hands drift lazily across Waspfire’s sides.
It almost makes Waspfire regret what she’s about to do.
Almost.
She returns the gesture, fingers finding the bikini top’s knot and undoing it with one swift movement. It leaves Lin very topless and laughing in surprise in the water. She sloshes away from Waspfire to splash her again.
"You really want to start this again?" She teases, mirth bright and jolly in her expression.
"Yeah, think you can take me?" That's all Lin really needs to hear to start up again. Changelings are not ones to be trifled with when it comes to water wars.
The subsequent splash war is enough to make Waspfire throw in the towel, flopping back into the water almost bonelessly. "I give."
The ogre gladly does a fist pump, leaving the troll to watch her jiggle and try to stifle her amusement.
She paddles over, still gloating somewhat as they meet for a kiss.
warning: cute girlfriends within
